Prepare at least a 500-word self-reflection on your feelings and attitudes toward first responders including police officers, law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical responders or EMT’s. Be sure to address the following in your reflection:
- What is your personal definition of a first responder?
- How did you develop this definition?
- Do the personal characteristics of a first responder (age, gender, ethnicity) effect how you view them or how you view their level of competency?
- How does your definition coincide with what you have learned this week from the text readings and discussion?
