Body Image Multi Media Presentation

Overview

Create a resource for college students on ONE of these two topics: (1) body image and eating disorders OR (2) body image and athletics.

• If you choose body image and eating disorders, your assignment must use and address all four body image and eating disorders discussed in chapters 32-35 (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder). You must also research peer-reviewed journals from the ASU Library. This means your references page will include at least TWO references (one from the textbook and at least one from a peer-reviewed journal).
• If you choose body image and athletics, you must research at least TWO peer-reviewed journals from the ASU Library.

AI MAY BE USED for finding peer-reviewed journals on body image and eating disorders or body image and athletics. Any peer-reviewed journals found with the use of AI must be verified as actually existing, because AI hallucinates on occasion, making up content that is fake. While ChatGPT can be helpful with some tasks, it can also be misleading for finding information. Any links shared should be from the peer-reviewed journal, not from AI. Design the resource as a brochure, presentation, poster presentation, pamphlet, booklet, or any other professional creation you deem appropriate. Use Word, PowerPoint, or a tool of your choice.

Explain your chosen topic and perspectives clearly, be informative, and persuade your audience of the importance of making healthy choices. Information should be presented in a succinct and clear manner. You're encouraged to use bullet points or outline formatting. However, you must not leave out any important details. (10 pts.)

Include graphics and pictures to illustrate your main points; at least 1 image per slide or page, including the introduction slide. (10 pts.). Format your resource in an academic and professional manner. Include:

• A References page in APA format (2.5 pts)
• Cite your sources using in-text citations (2.5 pts)
• In-text citations for all images (5 pts)
• Avoid spelling and grammar errors (.5 pt deduction for each)
• Use consistent font, text size, colors, and capitalization
  • Example: if you are capitalizing headlines, then ALL headlines in your resource must be capitalized
