Lesson 10 - Discussion
Your discussion body content must meet the minimum word count for your work to be considered for grading. This excludes any headings, greetings, reference lists, discussion questions, and AI statements. Remember, you are not writing a blog or social page; therefore, please write in a narrative format (sentences and paragraphs). Do not write the questions or number your work.
Answer the below questions without writing out the questions (write a complete paragraph for each). You must have an in-text citation and reference from the course textbook to support what you are saying. Follow the above rules for discussion postings.
- Describe the types of groups and other considerations that affect conducting school-based groups. What are the challenges and guidelines for school-based group work?
- Identify therapeutic factors associated with play therapy in groups with children and adolescents.
- Discuss guidelines in helping adolescents deal with anger and conflict.
- Describe approaches to group formation, including recruiting, screening, and selecting members.
Discussion Requirements:
Original Discussion Post - Due Saturday before the assigned Canvas Discussion due date. Late work and work that does not meet the minimum word count will not be graded.
- Fully respond to the questions being asked.
- Demonstrate content knowledge from our course textbook. Refrain from oversharing.
- Write without the word "I" and fully spell out all words (it is, does not, etc.).
- You must have a minimum of 150 words. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation will affect your grade, so be sure to proof your work before submitting it.
- You must have an in-text citation from our course textbook to support what you are saying. You will need a reference for your in-text citation. Any information taken from a source (other than your classmate or professor) must include an in-text citation and reference to avoid plagiarism. Not including a properly formatted in-text citation and reference will affect your grade.
- You must include an AI Statement.
