Practicing Third Party Mediation
You will do a mediation practice role play with the help of AI. This is amediation between an elderly parent and an adult son regarding making
good on unpaid rent that the son owes, fore which the landlord is also suing
the mother because she co-signed the lease as a favor.
The file at the link below contains a very long and detailed AI prompt. Go to any AI browser of your choosing (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilotetc.), and cut/paste the entire prompt (the sections in RED):

Then follow instructions until you reach a deal. Copy and paste your entire conversation into a Word file. Submit this in TurnItIn for Week-9.Please note that you will be using AI in this exercise since we cannot do a face-to-face role play because of the asynchronous format. However, Mediation is a formal process; and there are several specific and required steps that you as the mediator have to go through at the beginning, middle and end of the negotiation. All these steps are described in the Instructor Video, in the demo video and in the reading materials. All these steps must be completed in order to get full credit for this assignment - just informally chatting with AI is not enough.
