report about interview

Overview

Write a report about the profession based on the results of the information that you learned via the interview and via your research conducted during step 3.

Your report should include:

  1. A title page that contains your name, date, and class number AND specific information about your interview: Include the name, professional title, licensure (if applicable), degree, organization, and contact information of the person you interviewed.
  2. A page (or more as needed) with a list of the questions asked and answers given by the interviewee
  3. An essay of around 3-4 pages (double spaced, one-inch margins, 12 point font) containing a report of your investigation- in a structured, organized academic essay format- that integrates answers to the following prompts:
    • How did you find the person?
    • What was the experience of this professional investigation project like for you (finding an interviewee, researching the profession, preparing for the interview, conducting the interview)?
    • Outside of the interview, what was your research experience like?
    • Where did the interview take place?
    • What did you learn from the interview?
    • What did you learn from your non-interview research?
    • What are the requirements of the position (education, skills, experiences, licensure)?
    • What, if any, discrepancies did you identify between the different informational sources that you utilized?
    • How did your impressions of the profession and of the field change as a result of your research? (both online and interview research)
    • Would you be interested in pursuing this field?
    • What more would you still like to learn about this profession?
  4. A reference page of the essay. Following APA policies and formatting, this reference page must contain the full citation of every reference citied in-text (within the essay), and nothing more than what was cited in-text.

Additional Requirements:

  • All factual* statements that are not inarguably common knowledge (and not much is considered inarguably common knowledge these days) must be cited in-text and via a corresponding full reference in a final reference page (* factual meaning that they are stated as a fact rather than as an opinion)
  • Only Word or pdf documents are accepted
  • One-inch margins, double spaced, 12-point font
