Monica Project Part 5

Overview

Data collection plays a critical role in the success or failure of behavior interventions. For example, records of behavior and data from different treatments allow us to evaluate the behavior, know how it occurs, and determine if our intervention was effective. For your last assignment, you researched and developed generalization and maintenance procedures and a supervision plan to ensure that other individuals are carrying out the treatment plan. For this assignment, you will continue to develop your treatment plan by creating a data collection system.

Preparation

Complete the following to prepare for this assignment:

  • Review the information in the Functional Behavior Assessment media pieces. All of the work you completed for PSYC4004 will still be available to you:
    • Functional Behavior Assessment: Introduction and Monica's Case.
    • Functional Behavior Assessment: Baseline Data.
    • Functional Behavior Assessment: ABC Descriptive Analysis.
    • Functional Behavior Assessment: Condition Videos.
    • Functional Behavior Assessment: Experimental Analysis.
  • Research data collection systems that would be appropriate in Monica's case. Refer to the BS in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Research GuideLinks to an external site. for help finding resources.
  • Download the notes you took in the media pieces.
    • The notes that you write in the Functional Behavior Assessment and Treatment Plan media pieces will help you complete the Treatment Plan Template [DOCX], which you will complete and submit for this assignment.
