Overview
This test has three sections. Each section should be one to two pages (single space or 1 ½ space). AI use is NOT allowed for this Assignment.
(Notes: We are looking for very specific answers based on your careful watching of the videos and on your personal reflection. Any generic answer or any material that is suspected of AI use will get zero marks. By this stage in the course, you are expected to take a holistic view of any situation, understanding the emotions, the motivations, the body language and other factors that you see in these interactions, and write a well-thought-out recommendation. Marks will be given for thinking, deliberating and stating a nuanced case that is worthy of a post-graduate level class.)
Section #1 (7 marks)
Watch the video at this link and then answer the three questions below:
1. What does each of the emotions shown by each character portray what Thomas Killman strategy they used during the conflict?
2. If you were the mediator, how would you have tried to resolve this conflict?
3. Assuming you are the HR manager, create a personalized training plan for each of the two adversaries so that they can learn to handle conflicts more effectively.
Section #2 (7 marks)

1. Create a needs/fears table for this conflict from the point of all parties involved (including the ones who may not be directly involved).
2. Plot the escalation sequence that seems to be happening here, identifying the key characters who are responsible for the escalation.
3. Is there a possibility of de-escalation? If you were to step in as an informal intervener (say a neighbor known to both conflicting parties), how specifically would you try to
bring about peace? What steps would you take and what steps would you expect each character to take?
Section #3 (6 marks)

2. Seeing how this negotiation played out, what are the biases that were displayed, by who and how did those affect their negotiation strategies?
