Overview
My topic is: How divided attention impacts driving performance. I plan to name key concepts such as selective attention, divided attention, attentional capacity limits, or dual-task interference. I will clarify which types of divided attention I plan to focus on (e.g., phone use vs. passenger conversation).
Part One: Share any interesting information that you’ve found in researching your final paper. Make sure that you provide references If you’ve learned something surprising, make sure that you highlight that.
Part Two: Make a one-page outline of your research paper. This can be a formal outline or not, but it should show what topics you will cover and in what order.
Part Three: Write a draft of the abstract of your final paper.
Part Four: Write your research paper. Length should be minimum 3 pages with APA sources
The Goal of the Paper. This is not just a report. The paper asks you to:
- show that you understand the topic well,
- explain how researchers have studied it,
- compare and critique recent findings,
- and bring everything together into a clear, well-organized paper.
Think of it as: your chance to show how cognitive psychology explains the way your chosen mental process actually works.
