Glasses Assignment
Your assignment is to create 7 pairs of eyeglasses, one for each of the corresponding
psychological perspectives. Decorate the frames of each pair of glasses with images
that depict that perspective for you. Use as many or as few images as you wish as long
as the glasses capture for you the key features of the perspective that most stand out
for you- in other words what do you picture when you think of that perspective? You can
use actual glasses, drawings, photographs, or computer generation for this assignment.
The goal is to create a visual representation of the main characteristic of each
perspective that demonstrates how that particular viewpoint sees the psychological
world.
On a piece of paper (separate from the glasses) include a very brief written explanation
for the images you used with each perspective. For example, if one of the images on my
Psychoanalytic Perspective glasses is a knife, I would write “the knife symbolizes
aggression.” Do this for each perspective.
