In preparation for this discussion review the article “Psychosis or Spiritual Emergency: The Potential of Developmental Psychopathology for Differential Diagnosis.”
Prepare a 200-300-word response in which you address the following:
- Identify at least 3 ways that a spiritual emergency may simulate psychosis.
- Explain the role of exploring a client’s spirituality in making a differential diagnosis. Please provide examples in your response.
- Identify at least 3 ways in which the proposed developmental approach may work to continue to improve and expand cross-cultural diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia and psychosis.
