Unit 3 & 4 Interactive Assessment
Units 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 Interactive Assessment: Initial Posts In these Units, you will write your initial post to the discussion question(s) by Sunday at 11:59 pm CST. The initial post will include at least one leading question and one reference and will be a minimum of 250 words.
Unit 3 Discussion Prompt: After reading the DSM-5-TR criteria for major depressive disorder (MDD), consider the number of symptoms required from the list to support a diagnosis in Section A. Reread the symptom list and consider how many possible combinations of symptoms could present with a client who has MDD. Most people think of depression as sadness (symptom 1), but not all clients present with Symptom 1. Consider if you were treating a client who met five or more of the criteria but denied depression because they were not sad. How would you approach that client and conversations related to depression and diagnosis? Include strengths and weaknesses that you have that would influence your ability to navigate that situation in a therapeutic setting.
Units 2, 4, 6 ,8, 10, 12, 14 Interactive Assessment: Responses In these Units, you will provide a minimum of two responses to the initial post from the previous unit by Sunday at 11:59 pm CST.
Unit 4: Peer responses are due this week. Please ensure that you are providing two responses this week by Sunday.
