Students will submit a draft analysis of Functional Assessment data to receive feedback before finalizing their Behavior Plan.
This draft will help refine their understanding of behavior patterns, antecedents, and maintaining consequences.
Using the student's choice of a dataset, complete the Summary Statement Form (Appx. C, O'Neil) and Competing Behavior Pathway Diagram (Appx. G, O'Neil), identifying setting events, predictors, problem behaviors, and maintaining consequences. Upload the worksheet completed.
A two-page summary must accompany these forms, explaining key behavior patterns and hypothesizing function. The draft must follow APA guidelines, including a title page and reference page.
Grading will focus on completeness and effort rather than accuracy. Instructor feedback will guide revisions, ensuring students develop a well-supported, function-based behavior plan for the final submission.
