Psychology Question
It's time to present your argument! Using the feedback from your outline [hyperlink to Week Five Assignment], you'll build a compelling case for your position. Picture yourself persuading a room full of skeptics that your solution is the best one, backed by solid evidence. Enhance your presentation with engaging images and diagrams to effectively "sell" your position.
For this assignment, you will use MS PowerPoint to produce a final presentation of your argument utilizing one of the three forms covered in the class (Classic, Toulmin, or Rogerian).
Part 1: PowerPoint
You will structure your argument based on your Week Five Outline. Make sure to incorporate instructor feedback when converting your outline to the presentation.
Start with a Catchy Title slide. Then, add at least one slide for each of the components of that type of argument. For example, if you choose the Classical argument, you will need at least one slide labeled for each component: Statement of the Background, Position, Proof, and Refutation. Be sure you see the lesson on Refutations.
[See attached templates. You are not compelled to use them and if you do, they need color and images. However, you should at least compare the template to your presentation before submitting to ensure you have all the parts necessary for success on this assignment.]
You are NOT pasting a paper into the slides. Doing so will cost points for not following directions. You should examine what information is relevant or necessary for your argument and present it in the form of bullet points.
Each slide should have several bullets providing your best points for each component.
Part 2: Presentation Narration/Notes
Your submission should include brief bullet points on the slides that are explained in the notes. See the attached document on how to find the "notes section" or do an online search for "adding notes to a PowerPoint." If you choose to add audio (instead of notes), then you will need to include a transcript. Please keep the instructor's time in mind. Most do not have the time to listen to a presentation more than 8 minutes long.Be sure to include citations of scholarly resources either on the slides or in the notes (or both) and a final slide or two with APA or MLA formatted references.
Convince me that your position on your topic is the right one!
