Questions here are derived from the Medhus book.
Your answers should be supported by our OER textbook.
Note about Medhus book:
While there is no single book that will cover parenting practices in a manner that everyone would embrace, this book does offer interesting ideas and a powerful opportunity to examine our own experiences related to childhood, explore how that might have impacted us (how we interact with ourselves and the world), and also how consider how we may want to move forward with our own self-development and/or parenting practices and more!
That being said, I want to be clear that not only is it okay to disagree with the ideas and approaches read in Medhus, I even encourage it! The important step that must be taken when disagreeing with an author in a research paper is to find and include relevant, scholarly support for your opposing position, for each issue you disagree with. Use our main textbook to do this! This is the critical thinking part of the work and it must be included as part of your argument when you disagree with something. Be careful to be academic in your approach to this work!
Choose at least 10 of the 19 questions listed to respond to in your research paper. Remember to incorporate the main textbook as you respond to each question.
Important: You must number the questions in your paper (1-10) and use the header that goes with the questionor points will be lost!
