Evidence Based Practices for families and groups for co occurring disorders
The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to apply EBPs to working with groups and with families and is comprised of two parts.
Part I: Prepare a 6-8 page paper, using APA style, that compares and contrasts two intervention approaches to working with groups and two intervention approaches to working with families. The paper should specifically explore (citing current research, as applicable) the ways the approaches address co-occurring disorders.
Part II: Chose one of the Case Studies in this week’s assigned readings. Prepare an approximately 500-word post-script to your paper which assesses which of the models would be the most appropriate intervention for the chosen case. Detail your rationale, including the factors you considered, any cultural influences that must be considered, and/or any challenges/limitations that should be anticipated addressed.
