Supervision Goals and Procedures
Goals should clearly state the expected behaviors on which the supervisor will evaluate the supervisee and must be objective and directly observable.
Goals should be tied directly to the current 6th edition of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB’s) Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Test of Competency (TOC) List. When writing goals, applying the SMART criteria can help you achieve your goals by clarifying your ideas, focusing your efforts, and assuring they are relevant, realistic, and achievable. For this Discussion, you will create supervision goals for improvement that are aligned to the BCBA 6th Edition TOC List. For evaluation purposes, each goal must meet both SMART goal criteria as well as the supervisee criteria in the “Sample Supervision Contract for BCBA/BCaBA Trainees” document in this week’s Learning Resources.
Post
Three examples of acceptable goals for improvement that would apply to you when doing supervised fieldwork and supervision issues that may arise, specifically those that relate to best practices for supervisee improvement. Choose one of your goals and explain why it is a focus for you relative to the aligned 6thEdition Test of Competencies (TOC) item.
