Module 07 Discussion: Data Collection Instrument

There are three (3) Parts for this "Original" discussion post. Please follow the instructions below to demonstrate content knowledge. Be sure to follow Steps 2, 3, and 4 to meet the writing requirements for your "Original" discussion post.

You do not need an in-text citation and reference for this post. Professional writing is required.

For this discussion, you will create and upload your Data Collection Instrument and conduct a pilot test of your Data Collection Instrument with your classmates (Discussion Post). Please complete Parts 1, 3, and 3.

Part 1: Create your Data Collection Instrument

                  • Create either a survey or a questionnaire for an interview.
                  • You must create something you can upload for a grade (if you are creating an online survey with a link, you must also upload the actual survey for grading/not only the link).
                  • If creating an interview questionnaire, you must include the script and questions.
                  • Questions should be between 5 and 10 (fewer than 10 is best).

Part 2: Pilot test your Data Collection Instrument. Upload your data collection instrument under this discussion and write a post. In the post, your narrative must include the below. You must meet the minimum word count for your narrative. You do not need an in-text citation and reference. The discussion board is a professional writing platform for scholarly writing. Therefore, you must adhere to scholarly standards.

                  • Why was this method and these questions chosen? Please explain what you hope to gain from it.

Part 3: Give Feedback to two classmates

                  • You must meet the minimum word count.
                  • When you review your classmate's instrument, tell them if you identify any issues with clarity, format, or question wording. You must give honest feedback to help your classmates identify potential problems before using the tool for their data collection.
                  • You do not need an in-text citation and reference.
                  • Remember, the discussion board is a professional writing platform for scholarly writing. Therefore, you must adhere to scholarly standards.
