Ageism Paper:
6-8 pages using APA (7th edition) guidelines. Paper is required to have at least 4 scientific research article references.
The paper is required to include (but not limited to) the following:
- Definition of ageism/age discrimination among older adults and prevalence of problem
- Discuss implicit and explicit bias on ageism
- Describe at least 2 different types of ageism and provide examples (institutional, self-directed, healthcare, etc.)
- Discuss cultural aspects of ageism
- How does ageism affect older adults (physically, emotionally, professionally, financially, etc.)
- As a SW, how can you address and advocate for change on a micro, mezzo, and macro level.
