Module 09Assignment: Drawing Conclusions

Instructions

You are now ready to add the following to your paper: your Timeline, Results, Data Collection Instrument, Solutions, Implementation Plan, and Call to Action. Remember, the purpose of each Module Assignment was to help you create your Capstone Project Research Paper in phases. Each time you were given an Assignment, you were instructed to add the content of that assignment to your existing research paper and upload your ongoing paper for grading. Points were deducted from your assignment upload if your paper did not include the assignment/content. You are now at the stage where you must have a completed project to meet one of the program's requirements for HUS4722 and HUS4945C. —Students who fail to successfully complete Assignments 2 and 3 will not be able to pass HUS4722 and HUS4945C.

For this assignment, begin where you left off in your APA paper (do not add spaces between your work/paragraphs). Follow the six (6) Steps below.

Step 1: Add your Data Collection Timeline to your paper, including the paragraph you wrote in your discussion post explaining the plan and purpose (write the paragraph first, then add your timeline under the paragraph).

Step 2: Add your Data Collection Instrument to your paper, including the paragraph you wrote in your discussion post explaining the purpose and intent (write the paragraph first, then add your instrument under the paragraph).

Step 3: Report your Data Collection Results (be sure to write a paragraph explaining the results and add your graph/chart).

Step 4: Outline your Solution (by pinpointing the problem and providing a clearly stated resolution), Implementation Plan (the steps needed to make your solution a reality), and Call to Action (what are you going to personally do to make a difference to bring about change and educate others about the problem, possible solutions, and what they can do to make a difference?). Before you summarize the Call to Action, summarize the entire project to prepare the audience for the Call to Action. -Briefly summarize only the main parts. This is what we call a "Conclusion."

Step 5: Proofread your paper, make any necessary corrections, and add any missing assignments (do you have Assignments 2-5 and 9?). Please remember you must have a fully completed Student APA paper for this final submission. This is your opportunity to fill in the missing pieces or enhance your work to help you meet one of the program's requirements for HUS4722 and HUS4945C.

Please keep this in mind as you summarize your information:

  • Solution: It can be big or small, but make sure it is not already being done.
  • Implementation Plan: The steps needed to make your solution a reality.
  • Call to Action: It is an inspirational statement telling people why this topic matters, why they should care, and inviting them to be part of the solution. Before you summarize the Call to Action, summarize the entire project to prepare the audience for the Call to Action. -Briefly summarize only the main parts. This is what we call a "Conclusion."
      • Conclusion: It should summarize the main topics of your capstone project. That means you will – in one brief review – summarize your entire project. “This Capstone Project studied X. In the review of literature, v, w, x, y, and z were discovered. Three interviews were conducted, and Y was found. The proposed solution is Z, and to implement it requires a, b, c, and d."
