Final Project

Final Project

In your report, you should describe the relevant research related to your case and topic, which an attorney will then use in court.

Assignment: 10–12 pages (not including title, abstract, and References pages)

Your report will consist of the following four sections:

  1. Biographical Summary (Approximately 1–2 pages)
Provide a brief discussion of the life of the person you are writing about, in addition to a general overview of the crime they were involved with. The criminal act should not be the only information in this section. Rather, information on where the person was born and raised, who their family was, their romantic relationship history, their education, jobs, and Medical, psychological, problem behavior history, etc. should also be included.
  2. Introduction to the Issue (Approximately 1 page)
Introduce your research question. For example, if you are acting as the forensic psychologist in the Arias case and your research question is about Battered Woman Syndrome (BWS), you would discuss what BWS is and what role, if any, it played in Arias’ case.
  3. Summary of the Current Scholarly Research (Approximately 7–8 pages)
Present an overview of what the scholarly literature says about your topic. Opinions should not be included unless you support your opinion with facts from academic literature. Use at least six (6) scholarly journal articles and relate the information back to your case.
  4. Conclusion (Approximately 1 page)
Summarize all the information presented in your report in 1–2 paragraphs. This should highlight the main research findings and how you applied them to your case. Your Final Project: Forensic Psychology Case Analysis Assignment consists of a 10- to-12-page paper (not including title, abstract, and References pages)
