Discussion question and response to a student
Your Mind in ActionScenario: The Family Reunion
Three generations of one family are attending a reunion.
- Liam (10 years old) quickly learns a new video game but sometimes struggles to think through long-term consequences before making decisions.
- Maya (20 years old) is studying for college exams and is trying different study techniques to remember information more effectively.
- Mr. Garcia (72 years old) occasionally forgets names but has extensive knowledge from years of work and often gives thoughtful advice during family discussions.
Although each family member thinks, learns, and remembers differently, they all demonstrate important aspects of human cognition and development.
