  • Imagine that you are a forensic psychologist. You are asked to conduct empirical research and write a report analyzing one of the following cases and one topic related to that case.
  • Use the “Course Paper Template (APA 7),” found in this week’s Learning Resources, for this Assignment.
  • Select the case study and related topic that you would like to examine
    • Case #4: Derek Chauvin (Former law enforcement officer convicted of the murder of George Floyd)
      • Topic A: Use of Excessive Force
      • Topic B: Race Disparity in Arrests and Convictions
      • Topic C: Protests, Safety, and Social Change

In your report, you should describe the relevant research related to your case and topic, which an attorney will then use in court.

Present an overview of what the scholarly literature says about your topic. Opinions should not be included unless you support your opinion with facts from academic literature. Use at least six (6) scholarly journal articles and relate the information back to your case.
  4. Conclusion (Approximately 1 page)
Summarize all the information presented in your report in 1–2 paragraphs. This should highlight the main research findings and how you applied them to your case.
