Case consultation is one of the aspects of clinical supervision. Participate in a case consultation with your site supervisor. This assignment will emphasize the importance of case consultation throughout your professional counselor career. In your consultation, address the following:
- What is case consultation, and what consultation models does the site supervisor use when working with new professionals?
- Select one of your current cases that meets one of the criteria: a) has been challenging for you, b) you have considered implementing a technique or intervention, or c) you have been considering terminating services. You and your site supervisor should focus on this case to facilitate a resolution.
After the consultation, write a 3-page paper on the case consultation experience. The template for the paper shall consist of:
- Section 1: Defining, identifying, and explaining your site supervisor's consultation model.
- Section 2: Provide an overview of the identified case, omitting any non-pertinent personal health identifying information.
