Some people have suggested that visual attention can be conceptualized as a spotlight. For this milestone activity, please find and read two academic, peer reviewed journal articles that explore the "spotlight" model of attention. These can be primary resources (e.g. describing original research) or a review article (summarizes multiple studies). After reading these resources, write 2-3 pages (double-spaced, 12 point font, one inch margins all around) about what you have learned about the spotlight model, what evidence exists to support it, and what evidence challenges the model. This will provide you an opportunity to extend your knowledge in areas that are similar to topics that you've learned about directly in this module. It will also hone your skills in locating relevant, scientific literature which is a skill that will be useful in many courses and in many career paths that you may experience in the future.
