Milestone 2 448
Milestone Activity 2
What do I want you to do?
You've learned lots of information in this module, and now it's time to put your knowledge to work. Research the case of a man known as Clive Wearing and prepare a brief 10-15 minute presentation about him. In your presentation, you should provide a brief overview of Clive's background, the illness that affected his memory, and the nature of his memory deficits. You should make connections in your presentation to material learned in this module (e.g. comment on the affected brain areas and the types of memory that they are involved in, what can he still do and what does that say about the function of other brain areas, the type of amnesia that he displays, the nature of working vs long-term memory, etc.). Your presentation should be in the form of a PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc. You should also include the references used to complete the assignment using APA citation style. You can record yourself giving the presentation, narrate the presentation, or include speaker's notes depending on what program you are using, the technology that is available to you, and your own comfort level.
Why do I want you to do it?
Clive Wearing's case provides a unique opportunity to apply information that you've covered in this section, and therefore, it represents a perfect opportunity for you to demonstrate your learning of the material.
What to include in your submission
Your assignment submission should include:
- Your 10-15 minute presentation with references in APA style
- A recording of yourself giving the presentation if you are not using the narration feature or attaching speaker notes to your submission.
