Overview
I'm working on a science case study and need a reference to help me learn.
Scenario: You, and your team, work for a community health clinic. The population you serve has seen a drastic increase in depression among the children in the community during the Covid-19 shutdowns. The community is rural, and there is a strong community gardening program in conjunction with cooking classes. The program has predominantly focused on adults and seniors, and one of the side effects has been an increase in positive mental health indicators. A member of your team has suggested creating youth and teen gardening, and cooking programs, to not only instill healthy habits, but to help with the depression crisis. You have plenty of funding and support, and a strong presence in the community.
As a team, create a proposal justifying a youth and teen gardening and cooking program, or provide an idea and reasoning for an alternative program to combat the depression crisis. You may make assumptions, but both approaches should consider the following:
?What systems of measurement could be used to determine success?
?What types of communication and outreach might be necessary to reach the population?
