Overview
Objective
Cratering is an important process on planetary surfaces. Here you will look at an example of a crater.
Instructions
Chose one of Sudbury, Veredefort, or Red Wing impact structure.
You will need to find
crater type, crater diameter, crater age
All three craters have produced resources. What is the resource in each case and how did it impact play a role in creating this resource.
- Would the impact have been large enough to cause climate effects?
- For the last point, you should use the links to the impact calculators given in the lesson.
