How is EMS regulated in your home state and city? How has this developed over time? Describe the regulatory agency(s) involved and how they function to authorize and support local EMS agencies. If you are from Maryland you may wish to investigate the Maryland Institute for EMS Systems, the Code of Maryland, Title 30, and how and why certain agencies in your local county are allowed to provide EMS. How has this changed from the time of the Freedom House paramedics?
