Overview
Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 500–700 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
Research affects policy, and policy affects the day-to-day nursing practice and the lives of all nurses. Locally, research on nutrition has led to policies about what foods are offered in school vending machines and lunches. Nationally, research on underinsured and uninsured people led to the creation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Complete the following:
- Choose an area of research that has led to a policy, and analyze how that policy has changed your environment, either personally or professionally.
