PSY 100 || spring 2024 || Paper 1
You will be assigned a case study describing a person who is suffering from a psychological disorder. You may NOT write your paper on any case study other than the one assigned to you. You will be using the concepts from WEEKS 10 through 13 to discuss the diagnosis, the possible causes of the disorder, and how to treat the disorder.
The first paragraph should be the introduction.
The next four paragraphs should be modeled after “Body Paragraphs” from “The Anatomy of an Essay,” with topic, supporting and concluding sentences.
In paragraph 2, discuss the psychological disorder from which your case study subject is suffering from. Do not discuss the case study. Refer to the essay layout for what to include in the discussion.
- In paragraph 3, introduce the psychological disorder from which the person in your case study suffers. Then the present all of the evidence from the case study that supports your choice of that particular psychological disorder.
In paragraph 4, discuss how you might treat the psychological disorder experienced by the person in your case study (choose a modality*). You may also include the use of medication to treat the person.
*cognitive behavioral therapy, feminist therapy, DBT, etc.
Paragraph 5 should be the conclusion.

If you use outside sources, please cite them with the author’s last name and year (e.g., Apolo, 2023).
- Include a reference page with the author’s last and first name, title, year, and link to source.
