Overview
The outline must include these 3 sections and be no longer than 1 page (excluding title page and references OR the title page and references are not part of the outline): 1. An abstract of the topic (1 paragraph). This is a stand-alone summary of your paper: summarize causes, symptoms, treatments, and experimental therapies using concise language. 2. An outline of the background information on the topic, including the following 4 sub- sections: A. The probable cause and current understanding of molecular mechanisms of the disease topic you have chosen. B. Symptoms and signs associated with the disease. C. Statistics regarding the distribution and incidence of this disease (epidemiology). D. Current therapies and treatments for the disease, including experimental therapies if available. 3. A brief description of the case study you searched and selected on your own (not the one sent by your instructor) and plan to implement in your presentation. Include the age and sex of the patient(s) if available
