DDT in West Africa basically I have to look at 3 videos on YouTube and answer question for the discussion board

Overview

Michael Crichton on DDT (Links to an external site.)

This ten-minute video from Disney (1943) (Links to an external site.) introduces you to Malaria from a United States perspective when malaria was still common in the southern United States. This was a public service film (cartoon) that was used to make citizens aware of the disease and how to reduce the spread. There are some things in this video that are not environmentally sound (e.g., burying trash, widespread use of pesticide, etc.). But there are some measures that are still used today.

The Rise and Fall of DDT in America (Links to an external site.)

Now that you've viewed these videos, let's pretend that this class is an advisory board for the World Health Organization. As a member of the advisory board, you have been asked to develop a policy of using DDT for Indoor Residual Spray in households in Benin, West Africa. (Note: You may decide that the best policy is NOT to use DDT.)

In this discussion board, please state why you think DDT would/would not be appropriate in this instance.  What types of limits would you need impose if you decided to allow DDT use?  Are there other options?  Please provide EVIDENCE supporting your policy.  The evidence may be from peer-reviewed articles, health agencies (e.g., Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, etc.), and other resources.
