Overview
Imagine that you are a tiny particle in a world made up of solids, liquids, and gases. One
day. You wake up in a solid state as part of a crystal. Suddenly, you get heated up and
transform into a liquid! Your journey takes you through different environments -like
flowing through rivers, evaporating into the air, and even condensing back into a solid.
Questions to consider:
1. What do you see, hear, and feel as you change states?
2. How do your surroundings change with each transformation?
3. What challenges do you face as you travel from one state to another?
4. Do you meet other particles along the way? What stories do they share about their
journeys?
Write a short story (about 1-2 pages) detailing your adventure as a particle, highlighting the
characteristics of each state of matter you experience!
