As part of the Research Writing Assignment, you will create and submit a detailed outline of your essay. This outline will help you organize your ideas, refine your thesis, and identify key arguments and evidence. A well-structured outline is a critical step in developing a cohesive and focused essay.

- Organize your key arguments and supporting evidence logically.
- Receive constructive feedback to strengthen your final essay.
Instructions
- Review Your Research:
- Identify your essay’s central thesis.
- Outline the key points and supporting evidence from at least 5 peer-reviewed research articles.
- Create Your Outline:
Your outline should include the following components:- Title and Thesis Statement: Clearly state your essay’s working title and thesis.
- Introduction: Include a brief summary of the background information and significance of the topic.
- Main Body Sections: Provide headings and subheadings for each major section of your essay, with a brief description of the key argument(s) and evidence for each.
- Conclusion: Summarize how you will conclude your essay and restate the thesis in the context of your findings.
- Format and Submit:
- Use bullet points or numbers for clarity and organization.
- Submit your outline as a Word document by the deadline.
Note: You do not need to include a reference list for the outline since that will be included in your annotated bibliography and the references list on your final essay. But you do need to include in-text citations in your outline when you discuss the results.
