Overview
Students will choose a primary care or related advanced practice journal (can also be a medical journal) and read one article each week.
- Summarize the article on an at least 2 pages paper
- What did you learn?
- Will it change your practice in any way? Justify your answer yes or no.
- Cite the article correctly using APA format.
I highly recommend that your first 2-4 articles are Review Articles as it will help you to begin to understand the structure and format of a review article. Many of your paper assignments in the MSN program (and DNP) will mimic this structure.
I highly recommend the last 2 articles be reports of original research, as this is the kind of article you will critique in your Evidence Based Practice/Research course.
