Science Question

The link is listed in the last reference slide. We can summarize each chapter into our slides while answering the respective listed objectives. I already cover 6, 7, 8 (pp. 124-129), and you can cover chapters 9 (pp. 137-142), 10 and 21.

When you complete your summary, EMAIL it to the instructor AND SUBMIT it through the course CANVAS SITE and POST it in the relevant Module What's up? section.

Please submit ONE document by email to the instructor and upload to the course assignment submission, and title your document as (the Instructor will confirm receipt by email):Proj_1_ModuleXSummary_MolPharm_LASTNAMESPlease include student names and project title within the text of the document!

In addition, PLEASE post your summary to the relevant "What's up?" discussion so your classmates can see it asap! Module summaries will also be made available to the class in the Module Section as Project 1 Summaries.

Rationale:

This project involves providing the class with a summary of the key concepts discussed each week. Students develop review and teaching skills and solidify their learning as they consider how to explain and interpret the fundamentals of cellular biology relevant to drug development, and the major biochemical, genetic, and regulatory mechanisms involved in drug action.

Specific Directions:

You will have one week to review, compile, and explain the major concepts included in class discussions and learning resources for the assigned unit.

Comments on referencing: Please include references (number or name) within the explanatory text, then provide a list of complete references at the end of the project.

Project Description

This project involves providing the class with a summary of the assigned Module objectives, learning topics, learning resources and most importantly, class discussions. You may include useful figures, diagrams, websites, etc., in your summaries to help review the material for the class. You may also expand on interesting subjects with further research.

Your summary may be in the format of an outline, or explanatory text; be in the form of a Word document or a PowerPoint Presentation, or other; and be approximately 12-25 pages long, depending on the format (a very flexible guide!).

  1. explanations for each objective and learning topic, even if an objective or learning topic was not discussed in class;
  2. a detailed summary of our week's discussions, and
  3. researching any NEW areas we may have touched on in our conversations.

In our discussions in the Threaded Discussion and the What's up? section, we will be answering a number of questions each week, and we will also be touching on a number of related topics. Sometimes we may not cover all the objectives, so YOU are responsible for reviewing these for the class.

If you are assigned a partner, then I am expecting you to work together, review each other's work, and submit one combined document. For those working individually, I do take that into account in grading.

All students are expected to read and review these discussions in preparation for the quizzes and exams, it is very helpful to write a detailed summary.

You really learn the information you must teach!

Most importantly, summarize this material IN YOUR OWN WORDS!

Do NOT cut & paste from the discussions!!

this is what you need for the summerize for the power point
