Cell Structures
Use the table (attached here, Download attached here, and below) to find the cell structure that has ben assigned to you at random. This assignment has two parts, the original post and the response to classmates.
Part 1: due by Sunday. 11/16/25 at 11:59 pm.
Write a post about your cell structure addressing the following points:
1) State your assigned structure. (2 pts)
2) Write a one or two-sentence clue that describes the structure of this cellular feature. Structure might include what it looks like, what it is made of, where it is located, what it interacts with, etc. It should be enough detail that someone can determine the structure from the information given, but not so vague that it could be mistaken for something else. A good framework is the amount of detail in a crossword puzzle clue (4 pts).
3) Include a emojii/ clip art that describes, in a picture, the main function of this cellular structure. Maintain decorum and keep thing appropriate for a class. Describe, in one or two sentences why you picked that emojii/ clip art to describe the main function (4 pts).
Part 2: due by 11/18/25 by 11:59 pm
Respond to 2 classmates who described a different structure than your assigned structure. Your response should address:
1) What do your assigned structures have in common? This can be a common function, a common composition, common features (ex: both _______ and ________ have inner and outer membranes). Must be specific; vague responses such as "they are both in plant cells" will not earn credit. (5 pts)
2) How are your assigned structures different? Name at least 2 specific differences (5 pts).
Each response to a classmate should be at least 150 words in length. (Each response worth 10 pts for 20 points total). Mariano has to do CHROMOSOMES

(1) My assigned cellular structure is the cytoplasm.
(2) This jelly like semitransparent material that fills the interior of the cell and surrounds the organelles, and holding them in place. while also allowing molecules to move and reactions to occur. It is mostly composed of water, salts, and proteins and sits between the cell membrane and the nucleus.
(3) 🧃
I chose the juice box emoji because the cytoplasm acts like a fluid-filled medium that suspends and nourishes organelles which is similar to how juice contains dissolved nutrients and flows within its container. the juice box visually represents the idea of a liquid environment essential for maintaining and supporting internal components.

1) Assigned Structure: phospholipid.
2) Structure Clue : This structure has a head that loves water and two tails that hate water, and it arranges itself into a double layer that makes up the cell membrane. It creates a flexible barrier that separates the inside of the cell from the outside.
3) Emoji/Clip Art + Explanation:
