This week, the goal is to dive into the fieldwork experience requirements needed to become a BCBA. Your discussion should focus on what you found in your exploration. Here are some ideas for your post to get you started:
- Review the BACB fieldwork experience requirements. Where do you plan to get your fieldwork experience hours?
- When accruing fieldwork experience hours, no more than 800 hours of restricted activities can be counted. The other 1,200 hours must consist of unrestricted activities. What are the differences between the two types of activities? How would you describe the differences between the two? Do you have a plan for how to accumulate each type? Please provide examples and identify each of these types in your response to this question.
- Review the BACB fieldwork tracker requirements. Describe what you would include in a spreadsheet used to keep track of your fieldwork experience hours. What do you believe is the value in accurately tracking your experience hours? Do you have a plan for making sure you record your hours as they occur rather than waiting and potentially forgetting?
- Discuss something that stood out to you this week. Was there a topic in one of the readings that was especially interesting and caught your attention. Describe how this information could be useful to you in the future.
