Overview
In this assignment, you will intentionally use generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) as a study buddy to help you prepare for both the comprehensive final exam and the lab practical exam in modalities.
The goal is not to outsource your thinking. Instead, you will practice:
- asking effective questions,
- evaluating information critically,
- applying modalities to clinical scenarios,
- and reflecting on the appropriate and professional use of AI in health professions education.
This assignment mirrors real-world clinical learning, where clinicians consult references, colleagues, and tools—but remain fully responsible for safety, accuracy, and judgment.
Important Expectations for AI Use
- AI is permitted for this assignment only as a learning aid.
- All AI-generated information must be verifiedusing course lectures, lab content, and assigned readings.
- You are responsible for all final answers, clinical decisions, and explanations.
- Submitting AI output without critique, verification, or synthesis will be considered inappropriate use.
You will be asked to include your prompts and reflect on AI limitations.
Final Reminder
This assignment is designed to help you:
- study more effectively,
- identify gaps in understanding,
- strengthen clinical reasoning,
- and practice responsible use of emerging tools.
Think of AI not as an answer key, but as a junior study partner that must always be supervised.
