Topic 2: Pablo Picasso's sketches for Guernica.

Most artists don't share their first sketches as finished pieces, but I believe Picasso shared the early sketches for Guernica to show more about the creative process and how everything changes and flows into the final product. It is important to notice whatever is in the first or previous sketches doesn't change but only gets more detailed. With these sketches we can see different techniques throughout the different stages. In the first sketch we can see he made it clear the main two pieces of Guernica was going to be the bull and a person with a lamp coming out of a window. Everything else on the first sketch is unclear to us except the movement of whatever else is to come. In the second sketch we see a lot more detail with the bull and the person with the lamp. We also can see now the "filler" objects and people with a lot more shading bring emphasis to certain places like the bull.
