What is Art? Assignment
As we begin this survey and journey through Global Arts from 1300 to the Present period, let us keep in mind that we want to understand human creative expressions within the cultural/historical context, the focus is on the Visual Arts as noted in my Lecture Introduction to this course.
This Assignment this week is to read the following in the Textbook, The History of Art, A Global View, Robertson, Hutton, 2021. Preface, Introduction pp 16 - 31 and Chapter 37, pp 609 – 623.
