Art plays a major role in my life it is what I found helped me through hard times. Its amazing how creative and determined art can be. I love to make art of anything and see it. I was at an art museum once that had replicas of Greek mythology statues or actual original statues. Its amazing how people in that period of time were so talented to carve stone and make so accurate to the human body, they definitely studied the anatomy of bodies. I remember thinking in the museum about how smooth the stone looked and how I wish I could touch it to feel any texture from the carving and smoothing of the stone. It was a beautiful sight to see all the pieces along with a garden outside but inside of the museum property. Everything there was based on realism. In my opinion realism is really hard to master and there were so many masterpieces. It inspired me to try it in my sculpting. There were many art pieces from different times but the most prominent there was pieces that seemed to be from the archaic period. I have taken only African Art previously for an art history class and I'm glad to learn more about art. I really like art and it would help me very much to know a lot about it's history in order for me to able to understand everything it takes to make art and how it made it through out the years. I believe I want to make history as well with my art one day.
