Hello classmates! My name is Madelyn, but Maddy is also fine. I am in my second to last semester here at VTC! It's taken me a couple of years to complete my Associate's, due to taking time away to work, but I am so thrilled to be only one more semester away from having a degree. I have taken multiple history courses, but this is my first art history course. History is a subject I have grown very fond of as I have attended VTC and I have made an effort to take as much of a variety in history courses. I am really looking forward to this course as it seems to be very focused on teaching art history through an inclusive and global framework. There isn't anything specific about the visual arts I am wanting to know, mostly I hope to gain a better education on historical moments in the art world and to be an art observer with more contextual understanding.
