My name is James Dean Burden, named after my grandpa's not the actor. I am 18 years old and just graduated high school. I am currently a San Bernardino County Fire Explorer, I have been pursuing my career since I was 14. I am EMT certified, CPR certified, Fire 2 certified and BLS certified. I'm looking forward to becoming a firefighter paramedic.
I plan on majoring in business and fire science. I will obtain my associate's degree at Victor Valley College and then transfer to Cal State San Bernardino.
In this class I'm hoping to learn more about art in general and the different aspects that encompass it. I never knew anything about lighting and angles but with this first module it has brought some clarity to the importance of these things. This is my very first art class at Victor Valley College so I am very excited to see what it will hold as the weeks go by.
One of my favorite movies is the movie Titanic for many different reasons. When I was a young boy my grandma and I would sit and watch this movie over and over again as she educated me on the history of the Titanic. I love the excitement of the movie and the thought of being potentially lost at sea like that and trying to deal with such a huge tragedy. I kind of feel like that movie taught me about the way of the world and how people can be. For example when they were all getting on the lifeboats and how they weren't even filling them to maximum capacity because they were the wealthy folks, that just blew my mind as a young boy I cannot understand how anyone could ever be like that. I think the overall filming of this movie was terrific, even all these years later I still watch it as if it were the first time.
