Journal Prompts

Overview

Please answer a Journal prompt from five of the seven theoretical categories listed in the attached file any 5 but only one from each category. Please be sure to include the question prompt at the top of the page. Place all answers in one word file.

Each answer to the prompt must be typed, double-spaced and approximately 2 pages long. This will result in a ten-page paper.

Students who do not write the question they are answering at the beginning of each journal entry will have points deducted from their score. Be sure to integrate the parts of the theory/terms into your answer that correspond to the journal prompt.

It is essential that the course materials integrated into your journal entries only come from the textbook, PowerPoint presentations, and lecture notes. Students that make use of unpermitted sources, will have points docked from their journal entry

Please embed sources into your answer in the following fashion. (Edles & Appelrouth, p. 36) (Robbins, p.4) (Kouri, PPT, Culture & Meaning, slide 4). (Kouri, PPT, History of the Family 1, Slide 27)Please remember that points will be deducted from your score for doing the following: 1.) Failing to write the journal question at the top of the page. 2.) Failing to integrate course materials into your journal entries. 3.) Using information that comes from sources other than those permitted – e.g. Dr. Kouri’s power points the Edles & Appelrouth text, or the Richard Robbins chapter. 4.) Writing a journal entry that does not correctly answer the journal prompt and/or does not address every part of the journal prompt. 5.) Failing to cite sources. 6.) Failing to embed references within the text and include a reference section at the end of each journal entry. 7.) Plagiarism, turning in work that is not your own – e.g. using the words and phrases of another author without putting those words into citations and not giving the author credit for those words. Plagiarism also involves taking an idea formed by another person and failing to give her or him credit for that idea. 8.) Fabricating your citations is another form of academic dishonesty.
