Short essay 5 for sociology of deviant behavior or deviance
In a short essay (800 words minimum, no maximum), respond to the following prompt/question(s):
Deviance is defined in part, based on the beliefs or agendas of those with the most power. Suppose that your agenda is to promote a particular social change in order to challenge the existing power structure, and to achieve your aims, you need to shift an existing social norm. What would you attempt to change? How might you go about it? What opposition would you anticipate? Use the three readings in your discussion.
