3 Film Reactions

Overview

Choose 3 different films you can find online and create 3 different documents for 3 different film reactions. Please note: If you are submitting more than one film reaction, make sure that you add each one as a new document, rather than re-attempting submission (which will replace your prior submission). If you are not sure how to add multiple documents, contact IT for support.

To complete a film reaction, view the film on your own time, and write a minimum of 200 words (no maximum), sharing your thoughts and reactions to the film. Each completed film reaction is worth 2 points, and you may complete a maximum of 5 film reactions for credit. Each film is either available in the Public Domain, or you can access it for free through Kanopy, using your CSUN login. If you need assistance creating a Kanopy login, contact IT. For written assignments, please use double-spacing, 12-point font, and insert page numbers. When citing materials, you may use any academic citation style (e.g. APA, MLA, ASA), as long as you use it consistently and cite all materials used. When formatting citations, you may use footnotes, endnotes, or a bibliography, as you prefer. Uploads may be in PDF or Word only. Canvas will not open documents uploaded in Pages, or other alternate word processing software.

Important: No assignments have “hidden” or unstated requirements not indicated explicitly in the syllabus, or in the assignment in Canvas. There are no requirements regarding writing style or tone, and no formatting requirements besides those listed in this syllabus. Grammar and writing skill are not part of the grading criterion, although proofreading is recommended, and your ISA may provide you with feedback about ways to improve your writing skills.
