QUESTIONS for Class Discussion
- Develop a brief evaluation proposal for some program in your past or current practicum agency or employment place for focusing on a nonprobability sampling design. Which approach will you use? Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the approach.
- For some programs with which you are familiar, find the number of program recipients in the last three years. Then determine the sample size needed for a probability sample with a confidence interval of 95 percent and a 5 percent margin of error (Please refer to 1, p. 222 & Table 8.1. p. 223 and cite it in your APA reference)
- Describe two different ways you might draw convenience samples and random samples from a group of students in the school of social work.
