Overview
This course has demonstrated how social inequality in the 21st century is seen as a revolving
social dilemma. The intersectionality of race, class, and gender are at the core of social
inequality's existence. You have read the works of many scholars as they have analyzed the many
layers of social inequality in America. Social inequality does not exist in a social vacuum. Social
inequality spills over into our social institutions, government, family, religion, education, media,
and sports.
Your task:
Write a paper on an issue of social inequality that you believe should be the
center of discussion. Give a historical perspective of the issue, the present state of the social
disparities, and why the issue has not yet been fully presented so that the American people can
fully invest in addressing the issue from a sociological perspective.
