Sociology Question

Overview

I’ve attached the part 2 of the assignment you will get all the info needed

This three-part assignment sequence will seek to deepen our understanding of an individual’s functioning by tracking them through their participation in families and groups. The first part of the assignment is worth 5% of a student’s final grade and provides a basic overview of an individual client system. Each of the ensuing two parts is worth 15% of a student’s final grade and will engage in an interpretation of the individual in a family and group context, respectively.

Instructions

You'll complete your work analyzing the individual you identified in Biographical Case Study Part 1 and Part 2. Of course, if your assignments have been autobiographical, I'll hope that work is never complete. But for the sake of this course, this will be the final assignment on the subject.

The submitted written document will be approximately between 4 and 6 pages in length and will include the following:

  • Subject Overview (1 Page)
    • Briefly remind the reader who your client is, including relevant aspects of the client's identity.
    • Summarize basic aspects of the family of origin.
  • Components of Group Participation (2-3 Pages)
    • Explore the subject's group participation in the present, including the primary groups that occur naturally (e.g., friend groups, community involvement, etc.) and groups that are more time-limited, goal-oriented, and likely temporary (e.g., school, work, etc.).
    • Are there similarities in how the subject functions across the major groups in which they participate? Are there differences? Describe them.
    • Begin to explore how the subject's participation in their family of origin may impact how they navigate these groups. What in Biographical Case Study Part 2 is most informative in terms of understanding the subject's present group participation?
    • Describe ways that the subject's current group participation may help us understand any emotional distress they're experiencing. I'd note that your subject doesn't need to be profoundly impaired
  • Prospects for Change (1-2 Pages)
    • Do you see any barriers to the subject's participation in a group therapeutic environment? Please elaborate.
    • Describe how corrective emotional experiences and interpersonal learning may each contribute to an alleviation of the subject's experience with emotional distress.

Biographical Case Study Part 3 is worth 15% of your final grade. Exemplary work will earn the full 15 points. Satisfactory work will earn 12 points. A passing grade is 9 points.
